Yes, however, because I take into consideration the whole picture of a person and their life, we see the interconnectedness. I offer senior and student discounts. What is homeopathy?
Homeopathic treatment, like all truly natural therapies, seeks to stimulate the innate healing power of the individual so that all physiological systems function at their best. But the homeopathic remedy does not directly treat a symptom or condition. Instead, it simply helps to initiate the process by which the person heals herself or himself. Homeopaths do not diagnose disease or treat diseases, they treat the totality of an individual on a whole. Remedies are selected that best correspond to the person’s total state of illness.
Homeopathic remedies are usually taken via small sugar pellets that you put under your tongue or via drops in small quantities of distilled water that you drink. Depending on health, vitality, or other factors, some people take a remedy one time only while others take a remedy daily. Homeopathic remedies are made at special FDA regulated and approved homeopathic pharmacies according to very high standards of purity.
I’ve found homeopathy aligns the spirit to the body, creating harmony and healing the body more rapidly. It can eliminate what is obstructing healing and health and increase the enjoyment of spiritual transformation.
Is homeopathy safe? Are there any side effects?
Each individual experiences the reaction to the remedy in a different way. Usually the effects are gentle and gradual, though at times, more rapid or dramatic changes may occur. The remedies do not produce “side-effects”. The body responds in the best way it needs to respond to heal itself. However, what you may experience as a result of taking a remedy is a temporary aggravation. This could be a current symptom getting worse for a while before getting better. Or it may be a temporary return of old symptoms you had years ago. Aggravations are always short-lived and are seen as an encouraging sign for the homeopath that the correct remedy has been selected. If you have a reaction you do not understand or any concerns about the remedy, don’t hesitate to contact your practitioner. For further information go to Homeopathy USA.
Can I take it with my regular medicine?
Homeopathy works at an energetic level, therefore it does not interfere with medications. Although some prescription drugs may hinder the remedy’s long-lasting effect, there are ways to take remedies daily which minimize the interference by the drugs.
What is traditional naturopathy?
A traditional naturopath specializes in wellness—we do not diagnose or treat diseases, are not licensed, but rather recognize the majority of sub-health conditions are the underlying cause of what we call disease brought on by improper diet, unhealthy emotional/physical habits, and environmental factors which cause biological imbalances with a subsequent breakdown in health. We seek to strengthen the body’s defense mechanism to fight the imbalance. We treat the person and not a disease.
Traditional Naturopathy concentrates on identifying destructive aspects of the lifestyle in the early phases, when lifestyle changes can occur to bring long-term benefit. Once corrected, the body can automatically begin to correct itself.
The practice of Traditional Naturopathy is not considered medicine and is currently practiced in all 50 states. It’s recognized as a common occupation at the Federal level (U.S. Congress 1928, 1929, 1930, and 30 Federal Court rulings between 1958 and 1978) and as such it is a profession protected under the 14th and 9th Amendments of the U.S. Constitution.
Traditional Naturopathy is different from a Naturopathic Physician. Even though they have the same name, they practice differently. A Naturopathy Physician is licensed and practices medicine, they diagnose and prescribe. Traditional Naturopathy does not, it’s is not a licensed profession. There is a certification process through a national council for traditional naturopaths.
What defines sick and well?
I see plenty of people saying they’ve been diagnosed with no problems, and their tests come out fine, but they don’t feel well at all. They have medicines to manage their condition perhaps. In my practice, wellness is when someone feels whole, vital and free from symptoms. (See page on balance)
How long will this take?
Because each condition is individual, the process of attaining balance explores the world within and in the body. Along the way your awareness of your strengths and obstacles will unfold. We discover the language of the body and translate what needs discovering. It takes time to find your ideal way to respond and re-pattern new habits, belief systems and behaviors. Homeopathic remedies aid this process.
